“The Mission Wings Center” - Learning and Community Center

The goal of this project was to strengthen the connectivity between the San Antonio Missions and the community that has made them so important. By creating a learning and community center, the purpose of the Missions can become more than just historical, but can also contribute to the community and their needs.

The layout of our building was inspired by our want for connectivity. It consists of five wings, each one dedicated to one of the Missions, connected in the center by a courtyard. Each wing was designed with the characteristics of a specific Mission in mind.
